At Baldry’s we take great pride in our company history, below is a brief insight into the company throughout the years from its inception over 50 years ago.

Back in 1951 a few years after demobilisation, Reg Baldry became a part time taxi driver. Within a few years Reg decided he wanted to provide his own taxi service enabling to set his own standards. With this desire Baldry’s Taxis was established. From that moment onwards we have striven to provide a top quality service to all of our customers.

The fleet in 1966

In 1966 Reg was joined by one of his sons Rex Baldry, who along with his wife Margaret eventually took control of the company when Reg stepped down in 1979. Reg continued to drive for the company until 1992 when he retired.

During 1992 Shaun Baldry joined the company, becoming the third generation to be involved with the family firm. Soon after in 1994 Carl Baldry also joined the company and in 1998 Shaun and Carl were invited to join their parents Rex & Margaret as partners in the organisation.

The business has continued on as a family run business into the new millennium.
